Hi everyone!
It's been quite a while since you've heard from me - more than 5 YEARS! Boy, has the time flown.
I have two important announcements:
1 - Due to the new EU privacy rules under GDPR, I have updated my privacy policy, terms & conditions. I've always taken your privacy very seriously, and will continue to do so, even though this blog is on hiatus. Please know that if you are on my email list, I will be deleting your contact information as well, but if you have any interest in a food and health related blog, please continue on to #2.
2 - I welcome you keep up with me and my food/health related work, by subscribing to my Transformed by Food email list!
If you, or your child, are experiencing recurring symptoms, or are trying to recover from a chronic illness, and you're ready to turn your health obstacle into an opportunity to transform your life, then you will surely benefit from the information and services I provide. My specific focus is on cleaning up food and lifestyle choices, identifying food sensitivities, and helping clients jump start their recovery process by transitioning to a healthy, yet delicious, gluten free lifestyle.
If you are ready to consider that gluten and other foods could be contributing to your symptoms or illness, OR you've already made the transition to a gluten free diet, but still don't feel your healthiest or happiest, I'd love to help you cut through conflicting information and overwhelm, so you can focus on taking charge of your health, and feeling your best.
Please know that I still have a passion for children's books, but after empowering my own daughter to recover from a serious digestive illness, I immersed myself in health and nutrition research, and experimentation. Having seen how compromised our food supply is, and how many are suffering from a wide variety of symptoms and chronic illnesses, I knew I had to do something to improve the situation.
I still see (and use) picture books as a powerful teaching tool, especially for increasing food and health literacy, and continue to use them to support and educate parents. So I have not left them behind! I've only narrowed my focus to food and health literacy.
You can check out my web site, and find out what kind of content you'll receive if you subscribe for updates, here.
Also, I recently created a FREE Facebook group that might interest you. Feel free to join Healthy, Gluten Free & Fabulous here. I'd love to have you join us!
Please feel free to pass along this information to anyone you feel could benefit.
Thank you so much for being a loyal reader! It's been an honor and a privilege to spend so much time writing about the topics I love most: children's books, literacy, and learning.
Picture books will always have a special place in my heart, and I will never stop reading and sharing them! Now's a great time to review my resources for healthy eaters, since spring is the perfect time to speak with children about gardening, making informed food choices, and healthy eating.
I wish you all the best.
Peace, joy & sunshine always,
Dawn xoxo
